Current industrial waste reutilization primarily relies on cement as a binding material. However, cement is associated with high carbon emissions, which contradicts global net-zero emission goals. In addition, limitations such as low substitution ratios, reduced mechanical strength, and poor long-term stability are commonly observed. Recent studies have demonstrated that geopolymer technology can serve as a next-generation green binding material. It offers significant advantages, including high capacity for incorporating waste, superior mechanical strength, and excellent durability. Moreover, it can reduce carbon emissions by approximately 40–60% compared to conventional cement, thereby contributing to sustainable circular utilization and net-zero carbon objectives. This program aims to replace traditional cement with geopolymer technology, transforming industrial waste from different countries into value-added recycled construction materials. The program is led by the Geopolymer Technology R&D Center at the Institute of Mineral Resources Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). International graduate students will be invited to participate, focusing on developing diversified green construction building materials based on the specific characteristics of industrial waste from their respective countries. 1. Scholarship Participants will receive a monthly scholarship of NTD 15,000–20,000. 2. Accommodation Assistance will be provided to apply for NTUT student dormitories. Accommodation fees must be covered by the participants. 3. Program Duration Participants are required to stay for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months. 4. Eligibility & Requirements Basic English communication skills are required. Applicants with a relevant academic or research background (e.g., materials science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related fields) are preferred.
