Program Description: This TEEP internship program focuses on Precision Health through semiconductor-enabled microfluidic and wearable sensing systems integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to develop chip-based sensing platforms and digital biomarkers with potential for real-world biomedical and healthcare applications. Participants will join a 2–6 month research internship with an emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. The program begins with a short training phase covering laboratory safety, microfluidics, biosensors, and AI tools, followed by a research project involving prototype development, experimental validation, and data analysis. Participants will also gain exposure to regulatory considerations (IRB) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Expected outcomes include a research poster or report, an open-source project (e.g., GitHub repository), and a short presentation or demo video. The program aims to foster interdisciplinary skills and international collaboration while connecting students to Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductor and biomedical innovation. Duration: Minimum 2 months (recommended 3–6 months), with flexible start dates. Financial Support: Participants receive a monthly stipend of NTD 12,000~15,000, along with support for accommodation, insurance, and research-related expenses (subject to TEEP regulations). Eligibility: Applicants should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in engineering, biomedical sciences, or data science/AI. Basic English communication skills and strong motivation for hands-on research are required. Notes: Participants are expected to actively engage in research activities and comply with laboratory safety and institutional regulations. Outstanding participants may be considered for future collaboration or graduate study opportunities.
