Research Internship Opportunity: AI-Enhanced Modeling and Design of Multiphase Thermal-Fluid Systems Join our cutting-edge research team in Taiwan! We are seeking motivated undergraduate (Sophomore or upper level) and graduate students in Engineering and Science to participate in an intensive 2-month internship focusing on the intersection of Transport Phenomena and AI. I. Research Scope and Innovation Our laboratory specializes in the experimental and theoretical analysis of interface dynamics on multiphase complex thermal-fluid flow. The targeted engineering applications encompass a lot of next-generation technologies, from smart machinery/manufacturing, high-power electronics cooling, to green energy solutions. By joining us, you will dive deep into: • AI-Driven Modeling and Design: Leveraging advanced AI techniques such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to optimize multiphase thermal-fluid systems. • Physics-Informed Machine Learning: Implementing PINN (Physics-Informed Neural Networks) to enhance simulation efficiency while preserving physical integrity. • Multiphysics Integration: Bridging the gap between experimental signals and digital models for real-time monitoring and advanced feature extraction. II. What You Will Gain • Expert Mentorship: Work with a team boasting years of successful industry-academic collaborations. • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Full access to our lab’s advanced equipment and computational resources in Taiwan. • Hands-on Experience: Master theoretical analysis and experimental techniques in multi-phase transport phenomena. • Industry-Relevant Skills: Gain a competitive edge by mastering AI applications in emerging engineering domains. III. Internship Details • Duration: 2 Months (Flexible start dates). • Stipend: NTD 20,000 per month. • Location: Intelligent Manufacturing and Thermalfluid Lab (iMT Lab), National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. • Eligibility: Engineering background (preferably fields related to thermal fluid sciences such as mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing etc.). Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Master’s students. • Note: Airfare, living expenses and accommodation are to be covered by the intern (student). IV. How to Apply We are looking for proactive and curious minds! Interested students should contact the Principal Investigator directly to schedule an online interview. This will be an opportunity to discuss the specific project milestones and tailor the internship to your research interests.
