TEEP Joint Laboratory Internship in Taiwan Are you interested in biomedical research and looking for hands-on laboratory experience in Taiwan? We are recruiting motivated international students to join our TEEP Joint Laboratory Internship Program. This program provides an opportunity to train in two complementary laboratories, giving interns a broader research perspective and practical experience in a supportive academic setting. Program Overview This joint internship is designed for students who are interested in research and want to explore topics in epigenetics, cancer biology, gene regulation, and neurodevelopment. By working with both laboratories, interns will be able to learn from different but connected research areas and gain a better understanding of modern biomedical science. Research Training Interns may receive training in a range of experimental and analytical techniques, including: 1. Cell culture and molecular biology 2. Gene expression analysis 3. Epigenetic and chromatin-related studies 4. Transcriptional regulation 5. Cancer-related research 6. Neurodevelopment-related research 7. Experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific discussion Through this training, interns will have the chance to experience complementary research approaches and see how different scientific directions can contribute to a better understanding of biological mechanisms and disease. Research Themes 1. Laboratory of Chromatin Replication and Anti-Cancer Drug Discovery This laboratory focuses on cancer epigenetics, molecular mechanisms, and drug discovery-related research, with an emphasis on how epigenetic regulation influences cancer progression and therapeutic response. 2. Laboratory of Epigenetic Regulation in Neurodevelopment This laboratory investigates neurodevelopment, transcriptional regulation, and epigenetic mechanisms, with particular interest in how molecular regulation shapes the development and function of the nervous system. What We Offer 1. Hands-on training in two research laboratories 2. Exposure to interdisciplinary biomedical research topics 3. Guidance from experienced researchers in a collaborative environment 4. The chance to gain international academic experience in Taiwan 5. A meaningful research experience for students considering graduate study in the future 6. Eligible interns may receive a monthly scholarship of up to NT$20,000 Who Should Apply? We welcome students who are: 1. Highly motivated and interested in biomedical sciences 2. Curious, proactive, and eager to learn 3. Comfortable with laboratory-based research 4. Interested in gaining research experience abroad 5. Students who are interested in pursuing a degree in Taiwan will be given priority consideration Why Join Us? This internship is a great opportunity for students who want to build their research skills while experiencing academic life in Taiwan. By joining this program, interns can develop practical laboratory experience and gain insight into Taiwan’s research environment and academic culture.
