Neutrophils are vital components of the innate immune system, playing a crucial role in defending the host from infections. However, dysregulated or excessive neutrophil activation can cause inflammatory disorders and contribute to the development and progression of diverse inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Our research combines pharmacological and phytomedicine approaches to explore the molecular mechanisms of inflammatory responses, identify new drug targets that regulate immune cells, and develop lead compounds. This project aims to use artificial intelligence (AI)-driven virtual screening and molecular modeling techniques to identify and improve lead compounds that specifically target key receptors or signaling molecules involved in neutrophil-driven inflammation. By combining computational drug discovery with molecular pharmacology, the study aims to accelerate the development of new therapeutic agents that effectively regulate neutrophilic inflammatory responses, offering promising strategies for treating chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. We offer on-campus accommodation and scholarships to international students (NT$15,000 per month).
