This project aims to align with Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by recruiting outstanding international young scholars to Taiwan for research residency and academic exchange. Through this initiative, the international collaboration and visibility of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology in the fields of smart healthcare and sustainable technology will be strengthened. The principal investigator has long been dedicated to the development of nano-piezoelectric and piezoresistive sensing devices, integrated with artificial intelligence to establish high-sensitivity and low-power intelligent sensing systems. These systems are intended for applications in sustainable healthcare, mobile health monitoring, and rehabilitation assistive technologies. This project focuses on microstructural design of materials, optimization of energy harvesting efficiency, and AI-driven data analysis algorithms. By integrating interdisciplinary expertise in materials science, electronics, and biomedical engineering, the project aims to advance the synergistic integration of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. This program is open to all interested candidates. The details are outlined as follows: 1. Participants are required to engage in the program for a minimum duration of two months, with the possibility of extension up to four months. 2. Participants must attend weekly meetings and are expected to work in the laboratory five days per week. A progress report should be presented during each weekly meeting. 3. Applicants are required to possess proficient English communication skills. 4. A background in, or strong interest in, engineering or science-related fields is preferred. 5. Each student will receive a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000 to cover living and accommodation expenses.
