Advances in technology have greatly improved quality of life, but the push for sustainability is creating new challenges for the electronics industry, especially PFAS contamination in semiconductor cleaning solvents. This project, in collaboration with TSMC, aims to develop fluorine-free carbon-based membranes for organic solvent nanofiltration to selectively remove PFAS while enabling efficient solvent recycling, supporting greener semiconductor manufacturing. We are recruiting outstanding international students for a six-month research program in Taiwan. Participants will gain hands-on experience in graphene membrane fabrication, nanocomposite design, and filtration testing, working closely with industry engineers and academic mentors. The program aims to achieve breakthroughs in PFAS removal, cultivate talent in green semiconductor technologies, and enhance Taiwan’s global impact in sustainable electronic materials.
