Hosted by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at National Ilan University, this TEEP internship program offers international students a unique opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary learning at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital humanities, and cultural innovation. In collaboration with SparkAmplify, an AI company based in Taipei, the program is designed to cultivate global talent with both technological awareness and humanistic perspectives. Participants will join a structured internship that combines industry-based training with academic guidance. Interns will be introduced to AI-supported practices such as natural language processing, digital content analysis, metadata organization, and digital storytelling, while also contributing to projects related to the digitalization of literary, cultural, and humanities-based materials. Through this experience, students will gain practical insight into how AI technologies can support humanities research, communication, and knowledge dissemination in real-world contexts. The program also emphasizes cross-cultural exchange and international collaboration. In addition to working with corporate mentors at SparkAmplify, participants will interact with faculty members and academic resources at National Ilan University, experiencing both Taipei’s dynamic technology environment and Yilan’s distinctive educational and cultural setting. This internship is especially suitable for students with academic backgrounds or interests in humanities, digital humanities, literature, communication, cultural studies, media, and related interdisciplinary fields. By integrating professional training, cultural immersion, and hands-on project experience, the program aims to provide participants with a meaningful educational journey in Taiwan and to strengthen Taiwan’s role as a hub for innovative global learning. A participant will need to pay for their own accommodation and other living expenses etc. They will also be asked to pay the registration fee directly to the university. Accommodation can be arranged to stay either on campus or off campus. Each participant is preferably to stay for a minimum duration of 2 months.
