Field of interest: The goal of this project is to assist overseas students in studying biomedical materials, regenerative medicine engineering, biomimetic materials, 3D scaffolds, and stem cell isolation and differentiation techniques in Taiwan. During their stay in Taiwan, students will learn to transplant stem cells onto 3D scaffolds and differentiate them into chondrocytes. Fluorescence and cell staining will be used to confirm successful chondrocyte differentiation. Additionally, biomimetic materials will be created using polysaccharide-based materials, and fish muscle cells will be cultured on these materials to produce fish-slice-like food products. Content: 1.Course Participation: Courses including biomedical materials, regenerative medicine, health codes, and laboratory meetings. 2.Site Visits: Visits to relevant institutions (optional institutions include medical institutions, long-term care facilities, occupational safety agencies, factories, etc.). 3.Cultural Exploration Eligibility: 1. Undergraduate or graduate international/overseas students, with priority given to those who have never been to Taiwan. 2. Has basic English conversation skills. Period of Apply: Before 30 Sep. 2025, at least one month prior to the expected participation in the program. (i.e. if the expected period of stay in Taiwan is October, you need to register before September) Term: 3-5 months (The period for coming to Taiwan is from August to December.) Fee: No application fee. (Students are responsible for covering their living expenses during their stay in Taiwan.) Interns will be provided with accommodation in school dormitories. The cost per semester is NT$17,500. Subsidy: NTD $15,000 per month (prorated by days if less than a month) Period of Apply: Before 30 Sep. 2025, at least one month prior to the expected participation in the program. (i.e. if the expected period of stay in Taiwan is October, you need to register before September) Notice: Working is not allowed during your stay in Taiwan.
