Research Areas: Our research integrates molecular toxicology, immunotoxicology, and metabolic vascular biology to uncover disease mechanisms and develop translational strategies. We focus on endoplasmic reticulum stress–driven gastrointestinal inflammation and carcinogenesis, particularly in gastric and colorectal cancers and peritoneal metastasis. A major emphasis is placed on glycation-related metabolic dysregulation and its role in diabetic vascular complications, spanning both macro- and microvascular diseases. We actively develop natural products and innovative therapeutic agents, supported by advanced toxicity evaluation and molecular imaging approaches. Central to our program is the establishment of cutting-edge animal model–based platforms that bridge mechanistic discoveries with disease modeling and therapeutic validation in cancer, diabetes, pulmonary fibrosis, and psoriasis.
