In this project, we would like to develope novel materials (hard carbon anode, cathode or solid electrolytes) for Li or Na ion batteries. XRD, SEM, EDX, XPS, BET measurements will be carried out to characterized. As long as we obtain a pure phase, we will try to assemble coin cells to investigate electrochemical behavior and Na storage mechanism. We will also identify reaction mechanism of the as-synthesized novel anode materials during charge and discharge processes by using in-situ XRD measurement.
