This research internship program at Taipei Medical University (TMU) offers international students immersive, hands-on experience in cutting-edge innate immunology research. Trainees will gain practical skills in molecular biology and immunological techniques widely used in academic and industry settings, including multi-color flow cytometry, cell culture, gene expression analysis, protein detection assays, and immunofluorescence imaging. Working alongside experienced researchers, trainees will investigate how innate immune receptors regulate immune responses in disease contexts, design experiments, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings through a project report and oral presentation. Each trainee is required to submit a written internship reflection upon completion, as mandated by MOE TEEP regulations. In addition, each trainee is expected to submit a project report covering techniques acquired, laboratory applications, hands-on experiments conducted, research questions addressed, and results obtained, and deliver an oral presentation.
