This TEEP opening welcomes applications from international students who are passionate about making an impact on precision medicine and next-generation therapies. The research project focuses on two transformative areas in human health: 1. Targeted Particle Therapy for Cancer Treatment – We are developing next-generation particle-based platforms for the precise delivery of therapeutic agents and radiation. By combining advanced nanotechnology with biomedical engineering, our work aims to improve tumor targeting, reduce side effects, and enhance therapeutic efficacy for difficult-to-treat cancers. 2. Immune Modulation for Lung Diseases – We aim to investigate innovative strategies to regulate immune responses in chronic and acute lung diseases. Through cell engineering, drug delivery systems, and biomolecular approaches, we seek to provide new treatment options for conditions such as pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, and inflammatory lung disorders. The TEEP participant will gain hands-on training and prospectively collaborate with labs across engineering, life sciences, and medical sciences, contributing to projects that bridge fundamental research and clinical applications.
