Through this internship programme, the Japanese students will make a complete tour of different TSMC factories to understand the layout of TSMC's regions in Taiwan, and at the same time learn about TSMC's requirements for its employees: the potential to become ‘problem-solving engineers and thinking scientists. All students will also receive intensive Chinese language courses to achieve a Chinese language proficiency of over A2 to ensure that they can communicate in Chinese in their daily lives, as well as to ensure that they can achieve the language proficiency required for professional Chinese language courses. TSMC's training of this group of Japanese students will fill the current manpower gap when they return to Japan, and will also serve as an important communication bridge between JASM Japan and the Taiwan headquarters.
