Project Title: Embedded System Applications for Non-Invasive Monitoring of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Project Description: With the rapid development of modern medicine and physiological monitoring technologies, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) has become an increasingly recognized public health concern. OSA patients frequently experience brief interruptions in breathing during sleep, which not only disrupts sleep quality but may also lead to severe complications such as hypertension and cardiovascular diseases over time. Therefore, achieving accurate, real-time, and non-invasive monitoring of respiratory patterns poses a critical challenge in the medical field. This project aims to address this challenge by leveraging embedded systems and signal processing techniques to develop innovative solutions for physiological measurement and OSA detection. Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on development, data analysis, and potentially prototype a monitoring system under guided supervision.
