The development and application of smart medical electronics for neurodegenerative diseases The core objective of this project is to develop a biomedical electronic system platform equipped with medical signal processing and intelligent rehabilitation technologies. By recruiting students from Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East, we aim to enhance the team's technological diversity and foster the integration of cross-cultural expertise. Through international participation, we will promote the exchange of different cultural and professional backgrounds, stimulating innovative thinking and action. From May 2025 to December 2025, we plan to offer a learning opportunity with multi-stage academic and practical training. The curriculum will cover low-power microprocessor circuit design, real-time medical signal processing, and mobile device integration applications. Special emphasis will be placed on the in-depth application of digital signal processing and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for neurodegenerative diseases. Scholarships will be provided to students participating in the program (NT$12,000–15,000 per month). The university will offer dormitory accommodation (dormitory fee: NT$520 per week). Key developments include AI-based motion detection and visual/proprioceptive feedback devices for Parkinson’s disease, as well as AR/VR intelligent assistive device design and efficacy analysis for stroke-induced hemiplegia patients. This project will be dedicated to designing and optimizing low-power medical signal acquisition and training guidance devices, enabling real-time physiological signal analysis.
