This program is to develop graphite and graphene-like materials synthesized from sustainable sources for energy storage applications, mainly as lithium metal capacitors and lithium-oxygen batteries. Two currently enrolled PhD candidates at a collaborating institute (Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdulla) (Cherakkara Aswathi and Saima Zafar) will be joining for the program from 1 July 2025. They will be given a total of NTD 15000 (NTD 10000 from TEEP program and NTD 5000 from the School) per month towards their living and accommodation when they are in Taiwan.
