Dr. Ming-Ling Kuo's lab focus on the studies regarding to the regulatory mechanisms of immune responses. We apply animal models of allergic diseases or lung inflammation to test the interactions between immune cells or molecules, serving as the foundation for developing gene-targeted therapies. In addition, we try to explore the regulatory mechanisms of different cytokines or drugs on immune cells in human peripheral or cord blood cells, providing references for clinical applications. Based on the potential of immune modulating function of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), we also conduct studies to enhance the immune modulating ability of MSCs or investigating the mechanisms. We hope that through these research topics, students will learn immunology and molecular biology knowledge, become familiar with relevant experimental techniques, and enhance their scientific reporting and writing skills through discussions with professors and peers. We welcome students who are passionate about research, honest, and responsible to join our team.
