1) Duration of the Internship: 4-5 months basically (dependent upon the student's availability and capability, minimum 3 and maximum 6 months). 2) Requirement of student’s expertise: He or she (i) is in the senior year of electrical, mechanical, biomedical engineering or related department; (ii) is interested in one of the following research/internship topics (a) "Osseointegration detection/assessment technology/device"- micro-controller/computer experience, firmware skills, structural dynamics and modal analysis/testing are preferred. (b) “Diffuse optical imaging”- optical and electrical measurement skills are preferred. (c) "Inertial navigation and positioning"- sensors/actuators experience, micro-controller/computer experience, and firmware skills are preferred. 3) He or she has the fundamental background and is interested in * mechatronics, signal processing, electromagnetic wave, structural dynamics; * instrumentation, optical information measurement; * sensors, micro-controller and firmware implementation. 4) Monthly Stipend: NTD 12,000 (~ USD 380) 5) The host was granted 20 man-month grant to recruit inters.
