Systematic exploration of transition metal carbides, nitrides, and their MXene derivatives as electrocatalysts and catalyst supports. The study will focus on optimizing their:
1. Synthesis Parameters: Achieving controlled porosity and phase purity.
2. Structural and Surface Properties: Understanding the relationship between hierarchical porosity, surface chemistry, and catalytic activity.
3. Electrocatalytic Performance: Evaluating their activity, durability, and scalability for reactions such as hydrogen evolution (HER), oxygen reduction (ORR), and carbon dioxide reduction (CO₂RR). 1 position available for 6 months with 12000 NTD stipend per month.
