The Postgraduate (Master) Programme on Tropical Fisheries with International Linkage (ILP) is an international higher education alliance which was founded by the fishery-related postgraduate schools of Sam Ratulangi University, Indonesia, Kagoshima University, Japan, University of the Philippines Visayas, and Kasetsart University, Thailand in August, 2014. With joining of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Nha Trang University, Vietnam, IPB University, Indonesia, and National Chiayi University, Taiwan as new members, ILP is now run by eight universities of seven Asian countries and started accepting students in April, 2015. During the program, students had meaningful interactions with Taiwanese students. The curriculum included six aquaculture-related courses with practical training and field investigations, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in aquaculture technology and food applications. Additionally, they visited local aquaculture-related industries in Taiwan. This program will take place at the College of Life Sciences, National Chiayi University, from August 1 to August 31, 2025. Participants utilized the university's Aquaculture Research Center to learn about smart aquaculture and visited local enterprises, including fishery-solar symbiosis farms, feed cultivation sites, fish fry breeding centers, eco-tourism locations, Qigu oyster farms, and aquatic food processing plants. The scholarship and program are only open to students who are currently enrolled at the eight Universities that run the ILP program.
