Nanomaterials for Next-Generation Energy Storage and Sensing Technologies This research internship program aims to advance the design and application of nanomaterials—particularly metal-oxides/ metal-sulfides/ Carbon—for energy storage and sensing technologies. With their high surface area and unique electronic properties, nanomaterials offer transformative potential for cathode development in lithium, sodium, and zinc ion batteries. These materials not only boost energy density and cycling stability but also enable faster charge-discharge rates, making them highly suitable for electric vehicles, portable electronics, and grid-scale storage. In addition to energy storage, the program may extend into biomedical sensing and materials simulation, offering interdisciplinary learning opportunities across battery research, pressure sensor development, and computational modeling.

Internship Duration: 3 to 6 months (typically 4–5 months depending on student availability and research progress)

Eligibility and Student Background: Applicants should be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Ideal candidates will have academic or research interest in the following areas:
• Nanomaterials for batteries
• Electrochemistry and energy storage
• Biomedical pressure sensors
• Materials modeling and simulations

Familiarity or curiosity in materials science, chemical reactions, electrochemistry, battery technologies, or sensing systems is highly encouraged. Stipend: A monthly living allowance of NTD 12,000–14,000 (~USD 375–435) will be provided.

Through this program, students will gain both theoretical foundations and practical experience in synthesizing, characterizing, and analyzing advanced nanomaterials. The internship offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to meaningful research in sustainable energy and sensing while building valuable skills for future careers in academia or industry.

This is more than just an internship—it’s an investment in your scientific journey and the future of clean technology. https://chemical0216.wixsite.com/my-site/en
