========================================= Southern Taiwan ICT and Electronics Industry Practical Training Program ========================================= Program Overview: The Southern Taiwan ICT and Electronics Industry Practical Training Program is designed to provide international students, particularly from the Philippines, with hands-on experience in Taiwan's thriving information and electronics industries. This program includes professional training in information and communication technology (ICT), electronics, and electrical engineering, combined with industry internships to bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications.


Program Duration: • From July 2025 • Participants must commit to at least two months of training and internship.


Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicants must be high school graduates or currently enrolled university students in related fields such as ICT, computer science, electronics, or electrical engineering.
• Basic proficiency in English is required; Mandarin language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong academic performance and interest in Taiwan's ICT and electronics industry.


Training and Internship:
• Students will receive professional training at the College of Informatics, Shu-Te University. Courses include programming, digital circuits and system design, artificial intelligence (AI), and industry applications.
• Participants will visit leading technology companies to enhance their understanding of Taiwan’s industrial environment.


Scholarships and Fees:
• Partial scholarships may be available for outstanding applicants.
• Participants are responsible for their airfare and personal expenses.
• Tuition fees for training courses may be waived for selected students.


Accommodation and Meals:
• On-campus dormitory accommodation will be provided. Cultural and Language Learning:
• Basic Mandarin language courses will be offered to help students integrate into the local environment.
• Cultural exchange activities and local sightseeing will be organized to enrich students’ experiences in Taiwan.


Application Process:
• Interested applicants must submit an online application along with academic transcripts and a statement of purpose.
• Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in an interview.
• The application deadline is July 31, 2025.


Additional Notes:
• Participants must have international travel insurance.
• A valid visa for Taiwan is required before arrival.
• Students must adhere to program regulations and industry partner guidelines.
