The Department of Chemistry at Fu Jen Catholic University offers an excellent academic atmosphere and strong research capabilities. This program focuses on research in the “Development and Application of Energy and Sustainable Materials”, combining energy technology with polymer material science. The primary goal is to attract Vietnamese undergraduate students in their junior or senior years to Taiwan for short-term academic and cultural exchange. The core aim of the program is to provide participants with hands-on research experience and Mandarin learning opportunities, helping them become familiar with Taiwan’s academic and industrial environments, and potentially pursue a master’s degree in our department’s International Industrial Talents Education Special Program. The project is led by Prof. Yuan-Hsiang Yu, Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Fu Jen Catholic University. Our lab is the Polymer Nanocomposite Materials Laboratory, which focuses on material science, especially the synthesis, structural characterization, and property investigation of polymer nanocomposites and optoelectronic materials. This program will support 2–3 undergraduate students for the period of 2–3 months, with a monthly living allowance of NT$15,000. Fu Jen Catholic University’s Department of Chemistry offers the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program, a unique master’s track that allows international students to study alongside Taiwanese graduate students, gain a full master’s degree, and access future career opportunities in Taiwan. Currently, four companies in the fields of polymer materials and lithium batteries have partnered with our department to support this program, offering around 11 admission spots. These companies also operate factories in Vietnam, allowing students to explore internship and employment opportunities. Students accepted into this program are eligible to receive a monthly living allowance of NT$10,000 from our partnered companies during their two-year master’s studies. Program Highlights: 1. Research Internship Training: Participants will engage in hands-on lab training focused on energy and polymer materials, developing practical research skills and innovative thinking. 2. Language and Cultural Learning: Participants will take Mandarin language classes and join cultural exchange activities provided by Fu Jen Catholic University to enhance cross-cultural adaptability and daily life skills. 3. Advanced Academic Planning: We will guide students through the process of applying for a master’s degree in Taiwan, including preparing application materials and understanding program requirements. 4. Pathway to the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program: During the TEEP program, students will have the chance to explore Taiwan’s academic and job environment, laying the groundwork for future enrollment in our special master’s program. This program aims to deepen Vietnamese students’ understanding and appreciation of Taiwan’s academic and cultural environment, strengthening higher education and technical collaboration between Taiwan and Vietnam. Chương trình tập trung vào chủ đề nghiên cứu “Phát triển và Ứng dụng Vật liệu Năng lượng và Bền vững”, kết hợp giữa công nghệ năng lượng và khoa học vật liệu polymer. Mục tiêu chính là thu hút sinh viên đại học người Việt Nam năm 3 hoặc năm 4 đến Đài Loan tham gia các hoạt động trao đổi học thuật và văn hóa ngắn hạn. Mục đích cốt lõi là cung cấp cho sinh viên trải nghiệm nghiên cứu thực tế, học tiếng Hoa, làm quen với môi trường học thuật và công nghiệp tại Đài Loan, đồng thời tạo nền tảng để theo học chương trình thạc sĩ “Chương trình Đào tạo Nhân tài Quốc tế trong Công nghiệp” của khoa chúng tôi. Người phụ trách chương trình là Giáo sư Yuan-Hsiang Yu, Trưởng khoa Hóa học. Phòng thí nghiệm của chúng tôi là Phòng Thí nghiệm Vật liệu Nanocomposite Polymer, chuyên nghiên cứu về khoa học vật liệu, đặc biệt là tổng hợp, đặc trưng cấu trúc và nghiên cứu tính chất của vật liệu nanocomposite polymer và vật liệu quang điện. Chương trình lần này sẽ tuyển chọn 2–3 sinh viên đại học, với thời gian tham gia 2–3 tháng, trợ cấp sinh hoạt 15.000 Đài tệ mỗi tháng. Chúng tôi đặc biệt hoan nghênh các sinh viên năm cuối có nguyện vọng học tiếp chương trình thạc sĩ tại Đài Loan. Khoa Hóa học có chương trình thạc sĩ đặc biệt là “Chương trình Đào tạo Nhân tài Quốc tế trong Công nghiệp”, cho phép sinh viên quốc tế học cùng với học viên Đài Loan, nhận bằng thạc sĩ và có cơ hội phát triển nghề nghiệp tại Đài Loan. Hiện nay, 4 công ty trong lĩnh vực vật liệu polymer và pin lithium đã hợp tác cùng chúng tôi, cung cấp khoảng 11 suất học cho chương trình. Các công ty này đều có nhà máy tại Việt Nam, vì vậy sinh viên có thể tìm hiểu thêm về cơ hội thực tập và làm việc. Sinh viên được nhận vào chương trình có thể nhận trợ cấp sinh hoạt 10.000 Đài tệ mỗi tháng từ các công ty đối tác trong suốt 2 năm học thạc sĩ. Nội dung chính của chương trình: 1. Thực tập nghiên cứu: Tham gia đào tạo kỹ năng thí nghiệm cơ bản tại phòng thí nghiệm, tập trung vào công nghệ vật liệu năng lượng và polymer, phát triển năng lực nghiên cứu thực tiễn và tư duy sáng tạo. 2. Học ngôn ngữ và văn hóa: Tham dự lớp học tiếng Hoa và các hoạt động giao lưu văn hóa do trường tổ chức, giúp sinh viên làm quen với môi trường ngôn ngữ và văn hóa xã hội tại Đài Loan. 3. Định hướng học thuật nâng cao: Hỗ trợ sinh viên tìm hiểu quy trình và điều kiện đăng ký học thạc sĩ tại Đài Loan, hướng dẫn viết hồ sơ đăng ký, tạo nền tảng cho việc học chương trình thạc sĩ sau này. 4. Kết nối với Chương trình Đào tạo Nhân tài Quốc tế trong Công nghiệp: Trong thời gian tham gia TEEP, sinh viên có thể hiểu rõ hơn về môi trường học tập và việc làm tại Đài Loan, từ đó có kế hoạch tiếp tục học thạc sĩ tại khoa Hóa học của chúng tôi. Việc triển khai chương trình này sẽ giúp sinh viên Việt Nam tăng cường hiểu biết và gắn bó với học thuật và văn hóa Đài Loan, đồng thời xây dựng cầu nối hợp tác chặt chẽ hơn giữa hai nước trong lĩnh vực giáo dục đại học và công nghệ. Đồng thời, chương trình cũng thúc đẩy sự phát triển quốc tế trong lĩnh vực nghiên cứu vật liệu năng lượng và bền vững, thu hút nhân tài xuất sắc đến Đài Loan để cùng thúc đẩy đổi mới khoa học và phát triển bền vững.
