The "Real-World Data (RWD), Real-World Evidence (RWE), and Its Applications in Medicine" program aims to provide international students, primarily from Asian countries, with specialized training in clinical data analysis and AI model development. Running from January 1 to December 31, 2025, the program offers access to comprehensive datasets, including the Taipei Medical University (TMU) clinical database, Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Database, and MIMIC IV. Through targeted courses, students will learn study design, data management, statistical analysis, and Python coding, preparing them for real-world applications in healthcare research. The program’s execution includes hands-on training, project-based learning, and a three-month internship with industry partners. Collaborators include TMU, local healthcare institutions, hospitals management firms. The initiative aims to enhance students' employability, build international networks, and offer a pathway to advanced studies at TMU, ultimately fostering expertise in RWD and its practical applications in clinical settings.
