The Sustainable Environment Research Center of NKUST is renowned for its research on environmental pollution, remediation, valorization, and management. It boasts distinguished professors who rank among the top 2% of scientists worldwide and is equipped with advanced facilities that contribute to highly cited publications and significant research initiatives. The center aims to expand its research practices and services, offering opportunities to young, visionary international students, primarily through the proposed Wastewater Sludge Upcycling and Agricultural Applications program. This program promotes circular economy principles and focuses on sustainable wastewater management and resource recovery. This six-month program primarily targets senior Master's students worldwide, especially from Southeast Asia. It is open to master's or senior students in marine chemistry, marine environmental engineering, environmental science, and related fields. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of 12,000 NTD while gaining research experience and cultural exposure in southern Taiwan.
