🌊 Program Overview This TEEP program invites international undergraduate and graduate students to join cutting-edge research on thermoelectric materials and their applications in ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC). Hosted by NTOU, a premier institution located by the sea, the program offers a unique opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research combining mechanical engineering, materials science, and sustainable energy.


🔍 Research Topics Thermoelectric generator (TEG) modeling and simulation Material selection and performance analysis of Bi₂Te₃ and other TE materials Integration of TEGs into ocean energy systems Sustainable engineering and SDG-related research


🎓 Who Should Apply? We welcome students from engineering, materials science, physics, energy-related disciplines, or any field related to sustainable technology. Participants should be motivated, open to cross-disciplinary learning, and proficient in English. No prior knowledge of Chinese is required.


💡 Features of the Program Hands-on research and simulations using software such as COMSOL Multiphysics Seminars and project-based collaboration with local graduate students Cultural exchange and immersion activities in Keelung and northern Taiwan Participation in lab meetings and optional presentation of research findings


📍 Location National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan – a coastal city known for its rich maritime culture and proximity to Taipei.
