The program is aiming to study the pollination behavior of the pollinating wasps of Ficus septica. The intern will need to set up insect traps and manipulate the figs of the selected trees in order to understand how the pollinating wasps are choosing which figs to pollinate. The program is mostly made of field work and some time to be spent identify insect using a microscope. Scholarships will be at 15,000NT$ per month. Interns need to have a background in biology and ecology as well as being able to communicate in English.
