This project aims to investigate how fishing activity impacts marine food web structures. Our core methodology involves using stable isotope analyses to determine the trophic positions of various marine taxa. Samples will be collected from three coastal areas subjected to different levels of fishing pressure. Throughout the project, participants will receive technical training in marine animal sampling, ecological modelling, and stable isotope analysis. We welcome applications from UG3, UG4, and Master students interested in marine ecology. Priority will be given to candidates with prior knowledge of marine species identification and a strong interest in novel isotope techniques. The project duration is six months, with a minimum commitment of three months. We will assist with dormitory applications (self-funded and subject to availability) and student status activation at National Taiwan University. A stipend of NT$15,000 per month will be provided to each intern. A minimum of NT$12,000/month will be allocated as the intern's subsidy, and the remaining amount may be used for consumables and service fees.
