A).Internship Overview This project offers participants a chance to develop a comprehensive set of research skills, including theoretical analysis, circuit simulation, and device measurement. These skills are essential for engineering-based research projects, spanning the planning phase to the execution of experiments. Additionally, the project provides a unique opportunity to understand how factors in the semiconductor manufacturing process influence device characteristics. Our lab welcomes international students to apply for this program and is proud of its multicultural environment, with members from diverse nationalities. This internship program will help students learn about Taiwan's higher education system and its culture. Taiwan is one of the safest and most stable countries in the world. It is highly advanced in the semiconductor industry and is working on cutting-edge technology. This program will assist students in deciding whether to pursue higher education in Taiwan. The primary objective of this project is to pioneer the development of novel optoelectronics and high-speed microelectronic devices, including:
• Light-Emitting Transistors (LETs)
• Transistor Lasers (TLs)
• Distributed Feedback Lasers
• Vertical Cavity Lasers
• Micro Light-Emitting Diodes (μ-LEDs)
• InGaN/GaN Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors
• GaN-Based High Electron Mobility Transistors (GaN-HEMTs)
