In recent years, perovskite electronics have emerged as one of the most globally recognized semiconductor material technologies. Taking perovskite solar cells as an example, the highest reported efficiency for a single-junction device has reached 26.7%, while the highest efficiency for a silicon-perovskite tandem device has reached 30.1%. This rapid advancement has positioned perovskite solar cells as a key technology for next-generation photovoltaics. This industry-academia collaborative project is led by Distinguished Professor Shun-Wei Liu from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Ming Chi University of Technology. The project is conducted in partnership with Tetrahedron Technology Co., Ltd., a domestic company specializing in the mass production of organic materials. The primary objective of this project is to support the development of a National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) industry-academia collaboration project: High-Efficiency Carrier Transport Materials Combined with a Segmented Thermal Evaporation Process for Perovskite Solar Cells. By incorporating small organic molecules synthesized by Jing-Yi Technology as transport or modification layers, this project aims to develop standardized perovskite solar cell devices with high efficiency and enhanced stability. This project will introduce newly developed small organic molecules and apply them via thermal evaporation to modify perovskite interfaces, thereby improving device efficiency and stability. The outcomes of this project are expected to expand the commercial market for perovskite electronics materials while fostering industrial and academic research advancements.
Here, we plan to recruit three international interns from Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam at the undergraduate or master's level to participate in this project. Each intern will undergo a 3 to 6-month training program, where they will receive specialized knowledge and technical training in fully evaporated perovskite devices and engage in hands-on device development. Through this initiative, we aim to enhance the professional expertise of international interns in the field of perovskite electronics and promote international academic and industrial technology exchange.
