Join Our Research on Computational Electromagnetics! Research Focus Our research focuses on developing computational electromagnetic methods for analyzing the radiation and scattering fields of periodic structures. We propose an effective and practical approach for conformal periodic structures that enables fast and accurate computation of radiation and scattering patterns. To ensure precision, our method accounts for mutual coupling between radiating elements and different boundary conditions due to limited periodic size. The core methodology is based on the Active Element Pattern (AEP) method. Instead of calculating the active patterns for all elements, we enhance efficiency by expanding the results from a sub-structure to the full-size structure through structural segmentation. Using transformation matrices, we generate complete radiation and scattering patterns for the entire structure. This computational approach enables the design of optimal input signal parameters for periodic radiation structures and the identification of ideal excitation positions. By leveraging synthesis methods, we can achieve optimized radiation patterns based on design requirements. Our research applies not only to planar periodic structures but also to conformal surfaces. This methodology is widely applicable in radar system analysis and design for UAVs, satellites, aircraft, naval vessels, and even next-generation communication systems.

• Students in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a strong interest in Electromagnetics (minimum grade: A).
• English is required: TOEIC score of 550 or above.
