1. Program Title: Digital Health


2. Program Director: Jason C. Hsu Dr. Jason Hsu is an expert in digital health, real-world data (RWD), and real-world evidence (RWE) in the medical field. He is currently an Associate Professor in the International Ph.D. Program in Biotech and Healthcare Management at the College of Management, Taipei Medical University (TMU). Dr. Hsu holds multiple leadership positions related to health data research, including Director of the Clinical Data Center at TMU, Director of the Research Center for Health Industry Data Analytics at the College of Management, Director of the Clinical Big Data Research Center at TMU Hospital, and President of the Taiwan Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics Society (OHDSI Taiwan Society). He received training at Harvard Medical School and has led numerous large-scale RWD/RWE projects. Dr. Hsu's mission is to advance digital medicine, precision therapy, and biotech healthcare management through global RWD/RWE collaboration. (Personal website: https://jasonchsu-lab.com/)


3. Program Overview This program aims to recruit outstanding bachelor’s and master’s graduates from around the world for a 6-month intensive internship focused on cutting-edge research and practical applications in digital health. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, participants will gain hands-on experience and apply advanced technologies, including health big data analytics, precision medicine, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). This initiative seeks to generate real-world evidence that contributes to the global advancement of digital health while fostering innovation in medical technology.


4. Learning Objectives
(1) Develop specialized skills in digital health, AI-driven healthcare applications, and health data analytics.
(2) Engage with leading international research teams, enhancing research capabilities and industry insights.
(3) Foster scientific research competence, data analysis proficiency, and innovative thinking through hands-on research and academic exchange.


5. Program Duration July 1st, 2025 – December 31st, 2025 (6 months)


6. Program Structure
(1) Professional Training Courses: Participants will receive specialized training covering health big data analytics, precision medicine, AI, and machine learning applications in healthcare. Courses will be delivered by distinguished faculty from Taipei Medical University (TMU), with guest lectures by renowned international experts, ensuring a dynamic exchange between academic research and real-world applications.
(2) Research Internship: Participants will be assigned to TMU’s Digital Health Research Team and take part in hands-on research projects, including clinical data analysis, precision drug therapy, AI application development, and biotech healthcare management. Regular group discussions will facilitate knowledge sharing, and participants will have opportunities to present their findings, receive professional feedback, and refine their research methodologies.
(3) Academic Exchange: Before the program concludes, participants will be encouraged to compile their research findings into academic papers for submission to international conferences or journals. Additionally, they will be invited to academic presentations and industry networking events, expanding their professional connections and laying the foundation for future career development.


7. Scholarship & Financial Support Each participant will receive a monthly stipend of NTD 12,000 to cover living expenses during their stay in Taiwan.
