Photonic & Nanostructures and Device Laboratory of National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan plans to offer several internship opportunities of 2-6 months for young and talented students (3rd-year or 4th-year BS students, MS students, and PHD students) to conduct research on topics of silicon photonics, semiconductor, and optical biosensors. Students who intend to pursue an MS or PhD at CCU will be given higher priority. The TEEP scholarship provides ~USD 400/month to cover partial airfare, on-campus accommodation, and monthly stipend.

Our group at National Chung Cheng University, one of the world-leading research groups in the field of silicon photonics and optical biosensors, is working on developing (a) new types of silicon-based, CMOS compatible photodetectors and light emitters, which have many advantages over conventional III-V based counterparts for mid-infrared applications, (b) new disposable optical biosensors for cost-effective and rapid biomedical detection for precise medicine.

This internship program is open for talents who are interested in advanced optoelectronic-sensing technologies. Focus will be placed on designing, fabricating, and characterizing new Si-based group-IV photodetectors and optical biosensors. Please prepare your CV and feel free to contact us for the internship. Consider joining our research team at National Chung Cheng University to create a successful career now.
