1. Emotional and cognitive functions are closely linked to brain disorders, and the mechanisms and treatments of these neurological diseases have become critical issues in modern society as lifestyle and social environments continue to evolve. Our research team is dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of brain disorders and developing innovative therapeutic strategies. Our research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying emotional and cognitive disorders. By studying diseases such as depression, autism, migraine, and stroke, we explore changes in neuroplasticity and molecular mechanisms to identify potential therapeutic targets. We employ electrophysiology and calcium imaging techniques to investigate the roles of different brain regions and neuron types in disease conditions, both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, we utilize chemogenetics and optogenetics to directly modulate neural activity in living animals, combined with behavioral experiments to assess cognitive, emotional, and pain functions. Overall, our team integrates basic and clinical medicine by establishing animal models of psychiatric and brain disorders to explore novel therapeutic approaches for brain diseases. We focus on understanding the relationship between neural circuits, neuroplasticity, and disease behaviors. We welcome students interested in neuroscience and psychiatric biomedical research to join us in uncovering the mysteries of the brain.
