In this project, you will explore the origin of the metal-insulator transition in vanadium oxides, a long-lasting puzzle in physics and materials science. You will learn how to utilize our state-of-the-art electronic structure simulation software to explore the physics of these materials.

We are looking for students with a physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or material engineering background. Students with basic computer language skills, e.g., Python, Unix, C++, or Fortran, are preferred. Students who demonstrate fluent English with a certificate are preferred.

The project will last for six months. We will provide the accepted student with 90,000 NTD scholarships, which will be enough for the student's expenses during their six-month stay in Taiwan.
